We envision the conservation of nature and promotion of sustainable development and human-wellbeing based on sound research, policy and education with special focus on the Western Ghats. With the participation of local communities, we envisage the restoration and development of natural resources for the prosperity of humankind.

OBJECTIVES

• Work hand in hand with the local communities to ensure nature conservation and sustainable development.
• Create an inclusive domain for education and research-based conservation initiatives focusing on the Western Ghats, encompassing all ecosystem related factors such as natural resources, water resources and climate.
• Initiate eco-restoration and eco-development activities to protect, restore, and promote the sustainable use of resources.
• Encourage sustainable agricultural and business practices along with conservation by promoting organic and natural farming.
• Strive to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.
• Demystify science, undertake biodiversity research, long-term ecological monitoring and capacity building activities for different stakeholders.
